Hi my name is Alli Wallis and live in Bournemouth UK, I'm 49 and have always loved doing art. I started drawing around the age of 14, just copying Xmas cards etc, then went into my dream job as a hairdresser at 16 and enjoyed doing art for the qualifications of that. Skip 5yrs and had to give that up due to allergies. Many many years later and a million jobs and house moves I found myself still loving drawing but again I could only copy.
I had always wanted to be able to sell my art but unable due to copyright. I had a very supportive family and friends who would always admire my work especially my mum! But in early 2018 my wonderful mum very sadly suddenly passed away.... I was completely heartbroken and lost... I also lost my "Mojo" as I call it. My mind went blank, I didn't have the energy or passion to draw anymore... many months went by feeling lost and sad not only with the loss of mum but the loss of my creativity. But at the end of 2018 I decided to try a different approach, I went on YouTube and taught myself all about Fluid Art Painting. Suddenly it sparked my interest and reignited of art clear epoxy craft my passion... I practiced and practiced and now people wanted to buy my work!! I felt so proud. I started doing some Craft Fayres at Xmas and it has gone from art clear resin there... I now also make things with Resin clear epoxy and am absolutely loving trying new things!!! My mums name was Monica but all the family called her "Mon" so I named my business "Monz Art" in memory of her. I know she is always with me and pushing me to always try new things. It has taught me never to give up! And "Art" comes in many many forms..... I now produce bespoke items at customers requests.
